Christopher A. Kent makes his Springer debut starring as Carl Perkins in Million Dollar Quartet opening November 2 at the Springer. Christopher is reprising his role from the hugely popular co-production of Million Dollar Quartet by Georgia Ensemble Theatre and the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. The Atlanta Journal Constitution called Christopher’s performance as Carl Perkins “strong and alluring.” A member of Actor’s Equity Association, some of his regional credits include Ring Of Fire at Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Sondheim on Sondheim and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Snoopy) at Actors’ Playhouse in Coral Gables, Florida, Spamalot (Patsy) at Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Next Fall (Brandon) at Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida and Hank William’s Lost Highway (Jimmy) with George Wendt at Merry Go Round in Auburn, NY. An accomplished musician, he has played in orchestras for Tom Kitt (Tony Award winning composer for Next to Normal), Jeff Barry (co-writer of pop hits such as Chapel of Love, Sugar, Sugar and Leader of the Pack) and Christopher McGovern (libretto and score for Lizzie Borden.)
Christopher’s performance as “the King of Rockabilly”, Carl Perkins, in the Springer’s production of Million Dollar Quartet will surely get audiences out of their seats and dancing in the aisles.
