Fall, Winter, and Spring Academy Sessions
The Springer Theatre Academy continues to offer classes even after summer is over! Classes during the summer focus on overarching skills: musical theatre, improvisation, voice and movement, scene study, and others. Our classes offered during the school year are more specialized and are always different… so be sure to check out our latest class offerings below! During Fall/Winter sessions, students can pick and choose which classes to take based on personal interest. Our Spring Break Academy session features a full-day rotation of classes themed around a different musical each year.
The Springer Theatre Academy offers the following class sessions during the 2018-19 school year:
FALL ACADEMY: Saturdays, October 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 9am-2pm
WINTER ACADEMY: Saturdays, January 12, 19, 26 and February 2 from 9am-2pm
SPRING BREAK ACADEMY: Monday-Friday, March 25-29 from 9am-5pm

FALL ACADEMY: October 2018
Fall Academy offers an opportunity for students to choose specific classes based on their personal interests and to dive more deeply into a specific topic. Whether you are new to the Springer Theatre Academy or a seasoned veteran, Fall Academy has something to offer everyone!
Fall Academy classes are held on 4 consecutive Saturdays: October 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 9am-2pm. Fall Academy has 3 “blocks” of classes: 9:00am-10:25am, 10:40-12:05pm, and 12:20-1:45pm. There are 15 minute transition times between classes, during which students can eat snacks from home or purchase snacks from our concessions. On the final day, each class will end with a short presentation of classwork for friends and family to attend!
HOW TO REGISTER: Please select classes appropriate for the age/current grade level of your child. Students may select multiple Fall Academy classes, provided that they are not happening at the same time. If you are ready to pay in full, you can register ONLINE by selecting the links at the end of each class description. Interns must be a veteran Academy student in good standing, currently in 8th grade or above.
COST AND PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Each Fall costs $90.00, which will cover all 4 Saturdays. Scenic Painting will require the purchase of a $20.00 Ben Nye Student Stage Makeup Kit found HERE.
If you are ready to pay in full, please take advantage of our ONLINE registration by selecting the links above. You may also pay in full by phone, email, or in person with the Academy Office.
If you wish to submit a $25 deposit to reserve your spot in a class, you may register by phone, email, or in person with the Academy Office. Your remaining tuition balance will be due no later than the first day of classes, October 6, 2018 (Fall).

Information and Policies:
- Payments can be accepted as cash, check, or credit card. All fully online registrations require credit card payment.
- A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required with registration. Without this, your place in the class is not reserved.
- Full payment is due on or before the first day of class.
- We accept registrations up to the first day of classes, based on availability.
- NEW STUDENTS receive a Springer t-shirt on the first day of classes. Extra shirts are also available for purchase at check-in for $10.00.
- Upon registration and deposit, you will receive a confirmation email and balance statement.
- Drop-off and Pick-up will be at the Springer’s McClure Theater lobby on the 1st Ave. side of the building.
After School and Specialized Programming:
If your school is in the greater Columbus, Georgia area and you are interested in developing and arts integration program, specialized workshop or programming, or an after-school drama program, please contact the Springer Theatre Academy! Our core staff of certified teachers are here to work with you to develop programs and workshops that meet the needs of your school or organization.
