Welcome back Keith McCoy to the Springer stage. Keith is not only starring as the Apollo M.C. in the Springer’s upcoming production of Dreamgirls, but is also the director and choreographer for the show. A theatre professional for over fifteen years, Springer audiences will remember Keith in such notable roles as Jim in Big River, Jud in Oklahoma!, and Inspector Javert in Les Miserables. A Virginia native and Norfolk State University graduate, his diverse career has taken him all over the United States. As a performer, he has enjoyed working in many venues including: National Tours, Regional Theatre’s, Summer Stock, Theme Parks, and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As Associate Artistic Director of Adaire Theatre in Dublin, Virginia, Keith has had the pleasure of Directing/Choreographing The Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, Aladdin, and The Jungle Book. Regionally Keith has Directed/Choreographed Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, Caroline or Change, The Full Monty, Plaid Tidings, and The Wild Party. Dreamgirls marks Keith’s directorial debut at the Springer.
