Springer Diversity and Inclusion Council
Mission Statement:
The Springer Diversity and Inclusion Council illustrates, encourages and strengthens the inclusive nature of the Springer Opera House through culturally relevant programming, artistic diversity, volunteer involvement, board and staff representation, employee engagement and community access.
Key Strategies:
Advise the Springer Opera House Board of Directors and the Producing Artistic Director on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Act as a resource in building an audience that reflects the community we serve.
Encourage a safe environment where diverse employees, volunteers and patrons feel welcome and included.
Paul Pierce’s Statement on Diversity and Inclusion:
As Georgia’s oldest cultural institution, it is essential that all of the Springer’s partners, artists, volunteers, patrons, students and advocates feel welcome here and have a voice in the growth and development of our creative community. We seek to inspire and encourage our theatre family and to be a source of kindness, safety and love.
