Springer Staff

Keith has worked successfully as a theatre professional for more than twenty years. He is a native of Portsmouth, Va., and graduate of Norfolk State University. Keith Patrick McCoy is a creative, skilled professional actor, director, choreographer, writer, and arts educator.

Rebecca Gossett (She/Her) received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology from Columbus State University in 2014. She served as the Springer’s Production Stage Manager for eight seasons before becoming the Company Manager in 2022.

Jess Adams earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Columbus State University in 2016. They are the former Production Manager / Production Stage Manager of Majestic Repertory Theatre, an immersive theatre in Las Vegas, NV.

Alex Allison has been working as a costume and wig designer across the US and also worked with Norwegian Cruise Lines as a Production Wardrobe Supervisor.

Patti Jo Fenzel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Design and Technology from CSU in 2010 and has worked in theaters around the country including Florida Repertory Theater, Texas Shakespeare Festival and Opera New Jersey.

Walter is excited to join the Springer team and return to his home state of Georgia after 4 years in New York.

David is the Assistant Technical Director for the Springer Opera House. He is a graduate of Columbus State University with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology.

MH graduated from Columbus State University in 2019 with a degree in Theatre Design and Technology and a minor in Studio Art.

Elle Hartman (she/her) is the resident Cutter/Draper at the Springer Opera House. As a recent graduate of Auburn University with a B.A. in Theatre with a concentration in Costume Construction.

Arabella Mason (she/her) is from the Greensboro/ Highpoint area of North Carolina.  She is a graduate of Greensboro College with a BFA in Theatre Tech and Design with emphasis in Props, Scenic Painting, and Scenic Design.

Danielle has been at the Springer for over 20 years and is the Managing Director for the Springer Opera House. Danielle started at the Springer as a volunteer and has worn many hats since hired to be a full time employee.

Katie Underwood is a senior member of the Springer artistic staff responsible for casting and contracting production personnel for all mainstage and studio productions.

Tate serves as the Springer’s Director of Development and oversees all fundraising initiatives at the theatre. When he isn’t writing grants, he enjoys being on stage or in rehearsals.

Allie has worn many hats during her past 21 years while on the Springer staff. She has served as Box Office Manager, Operations Manager, and Director of the Springer Classic Movie Series.  She was part of the project management team during the construction of the Springer Academy Annex and McClure Theatre.

Deb began her relationship with the Springer Opera House in 1995 as a backstage volunteer. With a BS in Marketing and almost 30 years of business and finance experience, she has been in the finance department since 2009.

Max Nolan Young has been working at the Springer Opera House for the better part of fifteen years in a wide array of positions including facilities maintenance, performance, production, and scenic design.

Machell Dooley (She/Her) has been with The Springer for 3 years. She has been a volunteer since she was 14 years old, starting with volunteering with The Medical Center as a Candy Striper.

Kevan has been with the Springer since 2015. She studied Political Science at Columbus State University, and got her start performing stand up at No Shame Theater, a program she now co-hosts at the Springer.

Jhai started her career working in broadcast production with WRBL-TV, a CBS network affiliate in Columbus, Georgia. 

Chelle got her start at Springer as a weekly performer at No Shame Theatre. Its how she feel in love with the people, space, and history of the building.

James has been working with his hands since he was eight years old. He has always had a strong appreciation of history and is excited to do his part to protect and preserve our National Landmark.

Paul R. Pierce has led the Springer Opera House as producing artistic director since 1988, taking the State Theatre of Georgia to new artistic heights while expanding its audience and influence throughout the nation.

DB is a Columbus native first came to the Springer in 1996 as a student in the Springer Theatre Academy. After graduating from the program, he began his journey as a teaching artist.

Meagan is a part of the Springer Education Team as the director of the PAIR Program, Academy Teacher, and Theatre for the Very Young Director.

Kelli was born in Columbus and brought up in Smiths Station, Alabama. After high school, Kelli worked toward a degree in Education prior to completion of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) from Columbus State University.

Sam is very excited to join the Education Staff as a Resident Teaching Artist! He began at the Springer Theatre Academy as a student in 2007 where he graduated from the program, went on to receive his BFA in Theatre Performance from Columbus State University.
