INTERN PROGRAM
Applications open March 11, 2020.
Every student who has gone through the Academy, whether for one summer or 12 years, can tell you a story about something an intern did for them. The Springer Theatre Academy has always depended on mentoring and developing students, and that includes students supporting each other through the internship program.
The Internship Program seeks to encourage, guide and develop students who want to become a peer role model for others in the Academy by exhibiting acceptance, risk-taking, listening and the spirit of ensemble.
Work Study Program students (Interns) receive either community service hours OR tuition credit in exchange for work done for the Academy.
Intern Requirements:
Applicants must have completed the 8th grade and must be a veteran Academy student in good standing.
Internship applications are DUE to the Academy Offices no later than May 1, 2020.
Applications turned in late may not be considered for placement, based on availability.
We may not be able to grant internships to students who are not available for 2 consecutive weeks of the same class session (specific dates indicated on the intern application).
All decisions regarding WSP applications are made by the Academy Director and the Associate Academy Director.

Application for an internship does not guarantee a placement.
Shadow Intern Program
We have so many students who embody intern-type qualities like hard work, patience, empathy and positivity. However, we realize that many of these students might not have completed the 8th grade yet and are therefore not eligible to be an Academy Intern.
With the Intern Shadow Program, students who have just completed the 7th grade can apply to join an older intern team and/or assist with Academy Administration under the guidance of the Intern Director. Shadow Interns will also attend intern training and clean-up days with the older interns.
A limited number of spaces are available, so make sure you get your application in as soon as possible!
Shadow Internships may be used for community service hours. An application does not guarantee a placement.
CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE SHADOW INTERN APPLICATION.
Shadow Internship applications are DUE no later than May 1, 2020.
