Intern/Work-Study Program
Work-Study Program (WSP) students (Interns) receive financial assistance in the form of either community service hours OR tuition credit in exchange for work done for the Academy.
WSP credit is given in this form: work all four sessions to earn up to $75 toward your tuition. Interns MUST attend an entire Intern training on Thursday, January 4 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm and successfully complete all hours in order to receive a tuition credit. Interns may instead opt for community service hours, but if so, they do not also receive the tuition credit.
Interns are assigned to assist either a classroom Teacher or the Academy Staff.
WSP applicants must have completed the 8th grade and must be a veteran Academy student in good standing.
Once we have received your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview, if necessary. All decisions regarding WSP applications are made by the Academy Director.
The internship application deadline is December 27, 2024.
Applications turned in late may not be considered for placement based on availability.
Application for an internship does not guarantee a placement.
