Summer Academy 2020 Update
Dear Springer Theatre Academy students and families,
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel in-person Summer Theatre Academy 2020. The Springer’s first priority is to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, families, and staff and based on current data and trends of COVID 19, we cannot do that with confidence. We have considered several different Academy “arrangements,” including shorter sessions, fewer students, and less classes, but we do not feel comfortable moving forward on those options.
For those students and families already registered for Summer, you may convert your payment into a tax-deductible donation, hold your payment for future class tuition, or request a refund. Please follow this link to indicate how you would like to proceed. We will process these as soon as possible. We have cancelled all pending and post-dated payments.
We are currently exploring opportunities to connect with students virtually over the summer. Stay tuned for more information on that soon.
If you are sad or disappointed, that’s okay. If you are angry or frustrated, that’s okay too. Please know that canceling Academy this summer is the best thing we can do for each other, our scene partners. Stay in touch via email, social media, or old-fashioned snail mail. Reach out to other students, teachers, and Academy staff. And know that the patience, acceptance, and resilience you show become part of the Life Skills Through Stage Skills encouraged by the Academy.
We love you and we miss you. Take three breaths. It’s going to be okay.
Thank you for your love and support.
All my best,
Sally Baker
Director of Education
